Rule of Law Albania Team
Albi Cela is the founder of Rule of Law Albania. He is currently an LL.M. Fellow at the International Rule of Law and Security program, at Arizona State University, and the recipient of the 2020 IRLS Jones Day Foundation Fellowship. Albi holds a Bachelor of Law and Master of Science in International Law degrees, from College University Beder in Tirana, in which he graduated with High Honours. He has a particular interest in Public International law, International Criminal Law, European Law, human rights, rule of law development, and democracy. In his free time Albi enjoys photography, reading, running, and biking.
Ornela holds a Bachelor of Law and Master of Science in International Law degrees, from College University Beder in Tirana, in which she graduated with High Honours. During law school she represented Albania in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in Washington D.C. and the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition in the Hague. Ornela's main area of interest is human rights law and in particular women's rights. Ornela speaks Albanian (first language), English and Turkish.
Megi holds a Bachelor of Law and Master in Civil Law degrees from the University of Tirana, in which she graduated with High Honours. She has been part of the pro-bono legal team at "Qendra per Nisma Ligjore" and also an intern at the Albanian parliament. She is currently attending the School of Advocates, and an active member of the OSCE Youth Forum in Tirana. Megi's main area of interests include constitutional law, human rights law, democracy, and rule of law development. Megi speaks Albanian (first language) and English, German and Spanish.
